Our puppy policy

Since the day my program began I have dedicated myself to produce the best possible litters we can with fully health tested adults, proof of lineage crossing the best lines we can, with just the right temperaments to follow.

We breed for show or performance, working dogs, companionship, health, agility, and more.
We strive to better the Australian shepherd breed, to raise wonderful babies and make others just as happy as we are!
When homing one of my little ones it is important you are 100% satisfied with the puppy of your choice. I will also try my best to match puppies with just the right families! We are open of course to having your preferred sex and color, though encourage an open mind and heart as sometimes the puppy your preferring could have a temperament that is not a good match for your family or needs.

I will ask many questions before a puppy is homed as we reserve the right to refuse the sale of a puppy for any circumstance, as well as reserve the acknowledgement to where our babies are going and to watch them grow and learn as you do.

Puppies are ready for their forever homes after they’ve reached 10 weeks of age, please keep in mind our puppies are welcome back for a lifetime! Whether just a visit or having to rehome your puppy from us it is required you contact me first, I will always take said puppy/dog back, or permit to be placed to a rightful new home.

When with us we follow many regulations;

- At 3-4 days old puppies are taken in to the Crosby vet clinic for tail and dewclaw removal.
- At 2 and 4 weeks we use Pyrantel Pamoate, to treat roundworm and hookworms in the babies
- At 6 and 8 weeks they are started on safeguard deworming up until taken home to prevent hookworm, roundworm, whipworm and common tapeworms.
- At 6 weeks of age puppies are given their dervet spectra 6 shot(first round)
- At 9 weeks are given the dervet spectra 9 shot(second round) And a visit to our vet before going home!

- Most often if the Sire or Dam of a litter carries an autosomal dominant genetic disease such as MDR1, when just one copy is necessary to be affected, all puppies are tested before going home.

**Puppies are Not permitted to leave my care until the second round of immunizations are administered, and have been visited by our vet for their last check up with us. Your new puppy’s safety is very important to me therefore with this, your new baby is safer when taken home and introduced to new things. It is the buyers responsibility to provide the puppy with his 3rd round of vaccines at 12 weeks of age and the 4th round at 15-16 weeks.**

We begin attempting to wean puppies from mothers milk at 4 weeks as we introduce them to soft food. They will be introduced to hard food at 6 weeks. We feed our babies Diamond naturals puppy food. They will continue that diet until taken home.
All puppies are given plenty of love and nurturing born and raised inside the comfort of our home, exposed to many sights and sounds as they grow, as well as socialized with children, cats and other dogs. Once they are given their first round of shots for safety at 6 weeks they are taken on their first adventure outside, and I will begin getting them used to the outside for potty breaks and playtime!

When headed home all puppies will be sent with our puppy package,
Including their registration application, copy of the litter certificate as well as a copy of our contract, AKC puppy folders, immunization and deworming records, vet records, health certificate, a sample of our homemade puppy treats as well as sample of the food we have been feeding.

*Please keep in mind it is up to you to complete your puppies registration application and have them individually registered, puppies do not come with pre-paid registration*

When placing our puppies it is crucial that they are going to the right, and best homes possible! We are looking for forever with our babies so it is important to be getting just the right puppy. I do my best in carefully evaluating each puppy in their personalities as they grow, and do not accept deposits until 6-8 weeks of age.

I promise to always support you in raising and training your Aussie. I will always be here for buyers with questions in training and health advice to ensure a lifelong home for these special puppies.

Companion / Pet puppies:

All puppies going to a companion home will be sold on a spay/neuter contract, and is not permitted under any circumstances to breed. Selling a puppy on strictly limited registration does not make him/her any less valuable, though some who are immediately placed as pets who may obtain mismarks or slight variations of the breed, they are never in any health risk and still make absolute wonderful companions! All of our puppies are bred to be physically sound with excellent temperaments, in fact I strongly prefer and encourage our pups to be sold as pet only puppies! Though a breeder myself all of my dogs are my babies, and that love that a family or best friend to your pooch can bring is more important to me than anything!

If looking to show your puppy as they grow, most pet puppies are still eligible to compete in performance events such as obedience and agility!

Breeding prospects:

Puppies sold with full registration are very limited, if looking to get a breeding prospect the puppy placed will be an excellent example of the breed, with no disqualifying faults or known hereditary defects that may affect his/her suitability for producing the best possible offspring.

I am extremely picky with where I may place puppies with full registration, and will only do so to approved homes on contract. More often than not I do prefer to sell to proven breeders with a well established program I can look over. Though if you are a beginner looking to get into breeding the Australian Shepherd I would be more than happy to discuss and go from there.

Please keep in mind when selling a prospect I will ask many questions that you must be prepared to answer, including but not limited to; How your dogs are kept, what’s all provided for your breeding dogs, how puppies are born and raised, and of course your devotion to the breed. It is also very important to understand not all puppies will be born suitable for a breeding home, therefore the sex, coat color, or availably of suitable puppies may not always be a guarantee.

All puppies considered for breeding prospects are not finalized on until 8 weeks of age and may leave as late as 12-14 weeks as I prefer to be positive the said puppy will be suitable.

All puppies selling under full rights are evaluated of overall health, temperament, structure, and movement before decisions are made.

You may read over our prospect contract in the drop menu.

Please contact me if you are interested in a new addition for your program from us, the further ahead of time I am made aware the better I can help get you the perfect match!

Despite all, our puppies are my world! I will keep puppies later if needed, be here at your beckon call with questions or concerns and prepared for anything that may come up in future events! Interactive buyers are strongly encouraged as watching my babies grow up with you is a blessing! no matter where they may go they are always in my heart!
